Artist Sutueal Bekele exhibition at Melbourne Australian Stock Exchange

Opening Tuesday 27th of July. Exhibition runs 28 July to 12 August. Opening ceremony at 5.30pm. Exhibition runs 8am to 6pm M-F at the Australia Stock Exchange building, 530 Collins Street, Melbourne.

Sutueal Bekele Althe, born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is influenced by traditional Ethiopian mosaic art and the visual energy of the modern cubist movement .  Sutueal says, “When I sit in front of the plain canvas many thoughts come to my mind, some positive and some negative.

“My paintings are an exploration of my identity and culture. I paint about the honesty of love, the generosity of it, the selfishness of it and how the idea of love can be interpreted by others.”
